These terms apply to everyone who uses this website, run by Ruru Gausewa Aashram ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. They are written to be read, so please do.

What this site is for

The site tells you about our cows and our work, lets you offer seva or sponsor a cow, request our products, report a cow in trouble, and plan a visit. It is run by a small team, often from a phone, so things can occasionally be out of date. If something matters to you, please confirm it with us by phone, Viber or WhatsApp.

Seva, donations and sponsorships

• All seva and donations are voluntary. Submitting a form records your intention (a pledge); your seva is complete once your payment reaches us.
• Amounts shown for seva items and sponsorships are what that seva costs us at current local prices. Prices change with the cost of fodder and medicine; the amount shown when you submit the form is the amount of your pledge.
• Your contribution goes to the care of the herd. When you choose a specific item or cow, we use it for that purpose. If that isn't possible (for example, a sponsored cow passes away) we will tell you and use it for the care of another cow, unless you ask for something else.
• Refunds are covered by our donation & refund policy.
• Tax deduction under section 12 of the Income Tax Act, 2058 is available only if we hold a tax-exemption certificate from the Inland Revenue Department. The site says clearly whether we do.
• Under Nepali law, an organisation needs Social Welfare Council approval before it receives foreign funds. Until the site says we have it, please give from within Nepal.

Products

Milk, ghiu and other products are listed with indicative prices and availability, which change with the season and with how much our cows give (calves drink first). An order request is confirmed only when we reply to you. Delivery is covered by our delivery & shipping policy. Our products are traditional farm products; we make no medical claims for them.

Visits

Visitors are welcome during visiting hours. Cows and bulls are large animals: please follow our team's instructions, keep children close, and don't feed anything we haven't given you. You visit at your own risk; we are not responsible for injury caused by ignoring instructions.

Rescue reports

We try to respond to every report within our area, but we are a small team with limited transport and cannot promise to reach every animal, or to reach it by a certain time. Outside our area, please contact the helpline numbers on the rescue page, or the local government's livestock service section. Please don't send false reports.

Photos and text

The photos, stories and text on this site belong to Ruru Gausewa Aashram unless marked otherwise. You are welcome to share links to our pages and to share our photos with credit to "Ruru Gausewa Aashram". Please don't use them to raise money for any other cause, or in a way that suggests we endorse something.

Using the site fairly

Please don't misuse the site: no attempts to break in, overload it, send spam through its forms, or impersonate someone else. Such acts may be offences under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063 (2008), and we may block anyone who does them.

Links to other sites

Links to Viber, WhatsApp, Google Maps, eSewa, Khalti and other services are for your convenience. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for them.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses from using it. Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2075 (2018).

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. We would always rather sort out a problem by talking to you, so please contact us first. Any dispute that can't be settled that way will be heard by the court having jurisdiction over Ruru, Palpa.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
